IS THERE EVEN A POLITICAL ISSUE THAT DOES NOT MAKE YOU FEEL BAD SOMEHOW?

Idea*

A simple question that says a lot about how political issues are perceived

During the Sonic Assembly a number of very interesting themes and questions emerged , including this one. It's a simple question but it expresses very clearly the fact that political issues are almost exclusively associated with negative feelings. Feelings of impotence, disappointment, sadness, bitterness, lack of trust, frustration…
This is perhaps because the political issues that are discussed are often linked to dissatisfaction with the condition in which we live in society, or perhaps because we are often not really involved in the changes and decisions that affect us personally, or also because finding compromises between different perspectives or world views is often a very difficult task.

One of the main functions of politics should be to help us criticise how things are, questioning them, and anything that tries in any way to change the status quo is by nature uncomfortable.

Institutional politics is often perceived as distant, as not having the capacity or the form to be part of everyday life even if it directly influences it. To be in politics, to be a political figure, is often synonymous with a certain kind of elitist ability or training. What is missing, however, and what we need more than ever, are forms of politics that are closer to us. That are more positive and inclusive.

So how can we associate more positive feelings with political issues?
Can we perhaps do this by finding creative and inclusive spaces of expression?
What forms or formats can we invent to have more political weight in everyday issues?

These are some of the questions we are trying to find answer to through Polisfonia labs.
